Free University Amsterdam
Free University Amsterdam (Dutch: Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), shortened to VU, is a (Calvinist) public university in Amsterdam, a city in the province of North Holland, and also the capital city of the Netherlands.
Free University Amsterdam was established by Abraham Kuyper in 1880.
It has about 30,000 students.
Its focus is on all sorts of sciences.
