Wakayama Shin-Ai Women's Junior College (和歌山信愛女子短期大学, Wakayama Shin-ai Joshi Tanki Daigaku)[1] is a private junior college in Wakayama, Japan.
History
This school was established at Osaka in 1877 by French female missionary.[2] The junior college was set up in 1951 with one academic department: English language.
In 1956 the academic department of Child Care opened.
In 1969, the home economics department divided into two majors:
- Home Economics (changed to Life and Culture in 1990)
- Food and Nutrition
In 1994 English Communication was set up again. The last year of accepting students was 2001.
Now this junior college is the only junior college in Wakayama Prefecture.
