Weapon of mass destruction

Weapons of mass destruction are weapons that can cause a lot of damage to many people. In general, people see the following as weapons of mass destruction:
- Chemical weapons, like poisonous gases and substances (e.g. nerve agents)
- Biological weapons. Those are usually germs, or other small living things that may cause a disease. Examples are smallpox or anthrax.
- Nuclear weapons
