Western Visayas
Western Visayas is an administrative region in the Philippines. It is also known as Region VI. The regional center, and largest city, is Iloilo City.

It has five provinces: Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo. There is one independent city, being Iloilo City. Western Visayas has the islands of Panay and the smaller Guimaras, as well as several outlying islands.
The prominent language in the region is Hiligaynon. There are also languages spread across the provinces, like Kiniray-a, Capiznon, and Aklanon.
