William Walton Kitchin
William Walton Kitchin was an American Democratic Party politician who served as governor of North Carolina from 1909 to 1913. His time as governor, according to one study, was one of “tremendous increases in expenditures for public education, public health service to the feebleminded, and expansion of swampland affected by significant drainage laws.”[1] A number of other reforms[2] such as ones concerning labor were also passed.[3]
