In late 1979, American band The Spinners covered Working My Way Back to You with Michael Zager single Forgive Me Girl. It went to number 1 in the United Kingdom and Ireland, number 2 in the United States and the Netherlands, number 12 in Australia, number 5 in Canada and number 3 in New Zealand. It was covered by Boyzone as their debut single in 1994.
