Þingvallavatn

Þingvallavatn is a rift valley lake in southwestern Iceland. The lake has a surface of 84 km² and the greatest depth is at 114 metres (374 ft). This make it Iceland's largest natural lake. Alþingi (national parliament of Iceland) is at the northern shore of the lake and was founded in the year 930.

Four types of the Arctic char are found at the lake.[1]
