Season review

The Driver's championship was won by James Hunt from Niki Lauda, who had to miss several races as a result of an injury sustained in a crash at the German Grand Prix.

1976 Formula One Season Media

After taking on Alfa Romeo engines, the Brabhams were painted rosso corsa red.
Emerson Fittipaldi drove for his brother's team.
The Ligier team with Matra engine and Jacques Laffite as driver would go on to become the first all-French F1 team to win a Grand Prix.
