2014 Peshawar school massacre
On 16 December 2014, a mass shooting occurred in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Six gunmen of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attacked the city's Army Public School.[1] The gunmen went into the school and shot school staff and children,[2] killing 149 people including 132 schoolchildren. The schoolchildren were between the ages of eight and eighteen. It is the world's fourth deadliest school shooting.[3][4] The six gunmen were killed by special forces in Pakistan and they rescued 960 people.[5][6]
