Aerospace is a term used to talk about the atmosphere and outer space. Aerospace is a flexible term that often talks about planes and rockets. Aerospace engineering specifically is the way that planes and rockets are designed and built.

Planes

Planes are vehicles that have wings attached and are moved forward by jet engines. Planes come in many different sizes, shapes and types. Some planes are for the military, while other planes are used for fun, moving things, and carrying people. Commercial aviation, or planes that are used to transport paying passengers; carries 4.5 billion people a year.

Where Space Starts

The beginning of space and the ending of the air is thought to be 100 km (62 mi) above the ground.
