Akinwumi Adesina

Akinwumi "Akin" Adesina is a Nigerian agricultural economist and the President of the African Development Bank. He served as Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Before then, he was the Vice President of Policy and Partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA).[2][3]

Education

Adesina attended a village school and holds bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics with First Class Honors from the University of Ife, Nigeria. He proceeded his studies at Purdue University in Indiana. He obtained his PhD (Agricultural Economics) from Purdue.[4]
