Sander Schnitger

Alexander "Sander" Schnitger (November 11, 1958 – June 27, 2020) was a Dutch general in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. He was Commander of the Royal Netherlands Air Force from 2012 to 2016. Schnitger was born in Rotterdam. Schnitger was appointed Commander of Volkel Air Base in 2005. Three years later, in 2008, he was promoted to Air commodore and appointed Director of Operations at the Air Force Staff of the Royal Netherlands Air Force.

Schnitger died on June 27, 2020 in The Hague from a short-illness at the age of 61.[1]
