Alto Reed
Alto Reed (born Thomas Neal Cartmell, May 16, 1948 – December 30, 2020)[1] was an American saxophonist. He was best known as a long-time member of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.[2] He also was a member of the Grand Funk Railroad.[3] Reed was born in Detroit, Michigan. His career began in 1972.
Reed died of problems caused by colon cancer in Detroit on December 30, 2020. He was 72 years old.[1][2]
