On 1 January 2015, the former municipalities of Ardez, Ftan, Guarda, Sent and Tarasp merged into the municipality of Scuol.

Ruins of Chanoua in Ardez, along the mountain tour of Guarda, Switzerland via Ardez and Ftan to Scuol. The ruins are the last remains of a group of buildings built around a sust (hostel and warehouse/storage building) started in the 9th century. The site was inhabited on and off until 1910.
