Big Brother (also called Big Brother UK) is a reality television series in the United Kingdom which began in 2000. It is a version of the Big Brother franchise. Contestants must complete challenges while living in a house full of cameras.

In some series the house is in London; in some series it is in Hertfordshire. In some series, the housemates are celebrities. From 2000-2010, it was shown on Channel 4 and was presented by Davina McCall; from 2011-2018, it was shown on Channel 5 and was presented by Emma Willis. from 2023, it is shown on ITV2, ITV1 and ITVX and is presented by AJ Odudu and Will Best.

Format

A group of contestants who don't know each other move into a house full of cameras. They are watched every day and are set challenges by a fictional character named "Big Brother". The contestants can speak to Big Brother privately in a room called the "diary room". They are not allowed to have contact with the outside world. Throughout the series, the public vote for who they want to evict and the last one remaining is the winner.

Eye

Every year, there is a different "Big Brother eye".
