Bix Beiderbecke
Bix Beiderbecke (March 10, 1903 – August 6, 1931) was an American jazz performer and pianist who was highly influential in the 1920s. He was very popular among other celebrities. He was born in Davenport, Iowa; he died, age twenty-eight in Queens, New York due to lobar pneumonia.

Beiderbecke's childhood home at 1934 Grand Avenue in Davenport, Iowa, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was purchased and renovated by Italian director Pupi Avati for portions of his biopic Bix: An Interpretation of a Legend during the summer of 1990.
