Bob Williams (Washington politician)

Gomer Robert Williams (March 15, 1942 – March 15, 2022) was an American accountant and politician. He was a member of the Washington House of Representatives from 1979 to 1989. He was a member of the Republican Party. Williams was the Republican nominee for Governor of Washington in 1988, losing to Democrat Booth Gardner.[1]

In 1991, he founded the conservative think tank Freedom Foundation.[2][3] He was born in Pennsylvania.

Williams died on his 80th birthday on March 15, 2022 in Longview, Washington.[3]
