Brían Nguyen
Brían Nguyen (born on July 16, 2003) was the first transgender woman to win a local Miss America beauty contest.[1][2][3][4][5][6] She won the Miss Greater Derry event on Sunday, November 6, 2022.[1] Being transgender means she is a person who was born a man but identifies as a woman. After she won, she also started the #QueensAreEverywhere movement.[7] She helps young women feel more confident and strong.[7]
Nguyen went to Nashua Community College and took a business class.[8]
Accomplishments
Before starting the #Queens Forever Movement, the 19-year-old Nguyen won the 2023 Miss Greater Derry beauty pageant.[7] [9] She was the first ever local trans woman to do that. [7] After she won, she got the title of “Miss Greater Derry 2023,” a crown, and money to pay for school. [1]
