Randy Travis

Randy Travis (born May 4, 1959 in Marshville, North Carolina) is an American country music singer and actor. 1978 was the first time he had a song on Billboard's Hot Country Songs music chart.[1] As late as 2014 he had an album on Billboard's Top Country Albums music chart.[2]

He first went into mainstream in the mid to late 1980s, having a number of hits. He acted in several movies, including The Rainmaker (1997).
