Canaan Banana
Canaan Sodindo Banana (5 March 1936 – 10 November 2003) was a Zimbabwean Methodist minister, theologian, and politician. He was the first President of Zimbabwe from 1980 to 1987.[1]

On 10 November 2003, Banana died of cancer,[2] in London at the age of 67.
