"Castle on the Hill" is a 2017 song by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and is the double lead single from his third studio album ÷, along with "Shape of You".[4] It topped the single charts in Iceland, Israel and Scotland. It went to number 2 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom and number 3 in France, Hungary, Norway and Portugal. It also peaked at number 6 in the United States. The song refers to Framlingham Castle in his hometown of Framlingham in Suffolk.
