Cerium(III) oxide

Cerium(III) oxide, also called cerium sesquioxide, is a chemical compound made of cerium and oxygen. It has the chemical formula Ce
2
O
3
.

Uses

Cerium(III) oxide can react with oxygen in the air to make cerium(IV) oxide. This is used to reuse the cerium(IV) oxide catalyst in catalytic converters.[1]
