Charango
The Charango is an instrument somewhat resembling a guitar, or a lute. It came from the Altiplano in South America, in the 16th century. It may have come from the city of Potosi, in Bolivia. Usually, it has a length of 23 centimetres (9.1 in), which makes it smaller than an Ukulele. Larger versions have been made too. It usually has four chords, and is plucked like a mandolin.
