Charles J. Hynes
Charles Joseph Hynes (May 28, 1935 – January 29, 2019) was an American lawyer and Democratic politician. He was born in New York City. He was Kings County District Attorney from 1990 to 2013.[1] He was also the 24th New York City Fire Commissioner from 1980 to 1982.
Hynes died on January 29, 2019 at a hospital in Delray Beach, Florida following heart surgery and undergoing treatment for leukemia at the age of 83.[2]
