Clash Royale
Clash Royale is a real-time multiplayer video game developed and published by Supercell, a Finnish mobile game development company based in Helsinki. The game combines elements from collectible card games that include tower defense, and multiplayer online battle arena. Clash Royale was released globally on March 2, 2016.
Clash Royale Playing Basics
Players start out with two crown towers and one king. The goal of the game is to take more crowns than your opponent by destroying their towers. However, like in the game of chess, if you take out your opponents king, you instantly win the game. There are many ways of destroying towers. For example, players can deploy their knights to attack a tower, but it requires using up elixir. Things like Archers, Fireballs and Goblins can help do more damage to help you take out towers.
Players choose and trade cards to determine who is on their team. Once a battle starts, the cards are dealt in real-time and the players can deploy them when they appear. The game play consists of colorful animated battles based on the cards deployed. Getting good cards at the beginning is very important, but good strategy skills deploying your cards in battle are also critical.

Clash Royale Playing Tips
- After you reach King Level 3 you can join a clan. Joining one will help you play better. You can request and trade cards with other members.
- Avoid sending troops by themselves. Wait for your elixir to charge up so that you're able to drop at least two troops at one time.
- Drop your troop at the back of the arena, and wait for them to work their way through your half of the arena. This gives time to recharge your Elixir while they are safe.
- Know your opponents battle deck at the start of the game. Make notes if you need to, since they will give you key information on how to best deal with their cards.
- Watch recorded battles to learn how to play better on TV Royale. This is not often used by players, but a great resource.
- A good deck should include one low Elixir cost ground troop (Skeletons, Knight, Goblins, Spear Goblins), one ranged troop (Archers, Spear Goblins, Musketeer, Princess), One high-hit point troop (Giant, Giant Skeleton, Golem, Royal Giant), one flying troop (Baby Dragon, Minions, Minion Horde, Balloons), one damage-causing Spell
(Fireball, Arrows, Rocket, Zap, Poison, Lightning, Goblin Barrel), and one troop for countering (Valkyrie, Bomber, Wizard, Skeleton Army).
- Playslow, or hit hard from the start. You don't want to be in the middle as a strategy.
- It is a good strategy to wait for full Elixir before making that first move.
- Use the Chest Tracker app to help you determine which Chests are coming up next in a game. It is a free way to accumulate treasures.
- Use units that only attack towers like powerful Giant and the river-leaping Hog Rider.
- Use swarms to take down big foes.
- Play Clash Royale with audio on so you don't miss out on extra cues to help you.
- Watch the time. Matches are three minutes long, but during the final 60 seconds, elixir regenerates at double speed.
- Watch your own replays to learn from mistakes.
