History
- At first Gumma University had two vocational schools.
- The school for Medical laboratory scientist was established in 1966.[2]
- This junior college was set up on October 1, 1977 and started accepting students in the academic department of Nursing on April, 1978.
- Another department, (Medical technology,[注 1]) was added in 1979.
- An advanced course in Midwifing was set up in 1982.
- More two academic departments, (Physical therapy and Occupational therapy), were added in 1984.
