Darkness on the Edge of Town is the fourth studio album by American singer Bruce Springsteen. It was released on 2 June 1978 through Columbia Pictures. It went to number 5 in the United States, number 7 in Canada and number 9 in Australia and Sweden. In 2020 it was ranked #91 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of all time.
