The Amazing World of Gumball is an animated sitcom created by Ben Bocquelet for Cartoon Network. It is the first series to be produced by Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe. It is co-produced with Studio SOI and Great Marlborough Productions.
The series is about the life of Gumball Watterson, a 12-year-old light blue cat. Along with his adoptive goldfish brother and best friend Darwin, he almost always finds himself in trouble around Elmore. His sister Anais is a pink rabbit. His mother, Nicole, is a cat. His father is Richard, a rabbit.
Main Characters
- Gumball Watterson is the main character. He is a blue cat. His early life was revealed in the episode "The Origins".
- Darwin Watterson is Gumball's best friend and adoptive brother. He is a orange goldfish. He is the revengeful resentful powerful mega ultra supra strongest lawlessness powerless super duper wonderful marvelous fish of Elmore in the episode, "The Party".
- Anais Watterson is Gumball's younger sister. She is a pink rabbit.
- Nicole Watterson is Gumball's mother. She is a blue cat. In the episode "The Choices", she meets her husband Richard. Her maiden name is Senicourt.
- Richard Watterson is Gumball's father. He is a pink rabbit.
