David Coleman

David Robert Coleman, OBE (26 April 1926 – 21 December 2013) was an English sports commentator and television presenter. He worked for the BBC for over 40 years. He covered eleven Olympic Games from 1960 to 2000 and six FIFA World Cups.

Coleman became the first broadcaster to receive the Olympic Order award. This was in recognition of his contribution to the Olympics.[1]

Coleman died of a short illness in his home in London. He was aged 87.[2]
