David Lau
David Baruch Lau, Hebrew: דוד ברוך לאו , (born January 13, 1966 in Tel Aviv) is an Israeli Orthodox rabbi. He was Chief Rabbi of Israel on behalf of the Ashkenazi Jews from August 14, 2013 to July 1, 2024, succeeding Yona Metzger. His father Yisrael Meir Lau had the same position from 1993 to 2003. His Sephardic counterpart is Yitzhak Yosef.
