Delphine Gibson
Delphine Gibson (August 17, 1903 – May 9, 2018)[1] was an American Supercentenarian. She was born in Fairfield County, South Carolina. At the age of 114 years, 265 days was the oldest person in the United States.[2] She became the oldest living American upon the death of Adele Dunlap on February 5, 2017.[3]
She married Tyler Gibson in 1928.[4] They had three children. Gibson lives in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.[5]
She became the oldest living American citizen following the death of American emigrant Marie-Josephine Gaudette on 13 July 2017.
Gibson died on May 9, 2018 at the age of 114.[6] She was succeeded as the oldest living person in the USA by Ophelia Burks (25 October 1903 – 27 September 2018).[7]
