Dennis Cholowski
Dennis Cholowski (born February 15, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He currently plays for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has also played for the Detroit Red Wings, Washington Capitals, and Seattle Kraken.

Career
Before playing in the NHL, Benson played parts of 3 seasons with the Chilliwack Chiefs of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), 1 year with the St. Cloud State Huskies of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and 1 year each with the Prince George Cougars and Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
During his time with the Chiefs, he was named to the BCHL Second All-Star Team.[1] He was the captain during his time with the Cougars before he was traded to the Portland Winterhawks on January 10, 2018.[2][3]
He was drafted 20th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.[4] On April 5, 2017, Cholowski signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Red Wings.[5] On October 4, 2018, Cholowski made his NHL debut in a 3-2 overtime loss against the Columbus Blue Jackets. During the second period, he scored his first NHL goal.[6]
During the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft, the newly formed Seattle Kraken selected Cholowski. He then signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with them.[7] He was placed on waivers without playing a game.
On October 13, 2021, the Washington Capitals claimed him off waivers.[8] He only played 7 games with them before being placed back on waivers.
On February 8, 2022, the Kraken reclaimed Cholowski off waivers.[9] He only played 4 games with them.
On August 23, 2022, Cholowski signed a two-year, two-way contract with the New York Islanders.[10]
