Dermatophyllum
Dermatophyllum is a genus of three or four species of shrubs and small trees. It in the subfamily Faboideae of the pea family, Fabaceae.

Members of the genus are known as mescalbean, mescal bean or frijolito.
Its relationships have been somewhat controversial. It Is often treated as being in the genus Sophora.[3]
