Plot
The show tells the story of a newly formed "Urban Guard" in Buenos Aires. The squad is made up of people from minority groups, including a blind man, a transgender woman, a person in a wheelchair, and a Jewish man. The unit is created as a publicity move to improve the city's image rather than provide real public safety. The main character Felipe ends up in the middle of the absurd tasks and problems this group faces. The show mixes satire and comedy to explore how social inclusion is sometimes misused for political reasons.
Reception
- División Palermo* received positive reviews for its clever satire and respectful humor. Critics praised the show for addressing serious topics like diversity and representation in a comedic way. The characters and their interactions feel original and grounded, while the series remains sharply critical of political hypocrisy. The German TV site fernsehserien.tv rated it 84 out of 100 points, calling it one of the smartest Netflix comedies in recent years.[1]
