Dmitry Melnikov

Dmitry Alexeyevich Melnikov (Russian: Дмитрий Алексеевич Мельников, born July 16, 1960, Moscow, RSFSR, USSR[1][2]) is a Russian Professor, Academician of the International Academy of Information Sciences, Information Processes and Technologies.[3][4][5] Rector of "Moscow Social Pedagogical Institute".[6][7][8]

Member of expert councils under the State Duma Committee on Education and Science: Deputy Chairman of the Expert Council on Non-State Education and Public-Private Partnership in Education.[9][10]

Elected to the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Moscow and the Moscow Oblast in 2021.[15][16]

Member of the Coordinating Council of the Abilimpics movement[17], Member of the Public Council of the Victory Museum, Member of the Consortium of value-oriented universities "New Square", created with the support of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.[18]

Member of the Consortium of non-state universities on military-patriotic and war-memorial educational work among youth "Memory is stronger than arms"[19], working jointly with the Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to perpetuate the memory of those who died in defense of the Fatherland.[20]

He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Social Pedagogy in Russia.

In February 2023, he participated in the solemn meeting of the Annual Act at the Nikolo-Ugresh Theological Seminary.[21][22]

Dmitry Melnikov took part in the work of the Council of the Russian Union of Rectors.[23]
