Laayoune

Western Sahara: downtown of El Aaiún (also called Laayoune)

Laayoune (or El Aaiún) is a city in northern Western Sahara. It is said by the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic to be the capital, but it is controlled by Morocco. About 200,000 people live there.
