Elizabeth Lane

Dame Elizabeth Kathleen Lane DBE (née Coulborn; 9 August 1905 – 17 June 1988) was a British judge. In 1965, she became the first woman to be appointed a High Court judge in England and Wales.

She received a damehood when she was appointed to the High Court. She had previously been the third woman to be made Queen's Counsel in 1950. She retired as a judge in 1979.
