Ernst Kozlicek

Ernst Kozlicek (27 January 1931 in Vienna- 16 August 2023 in Vienna) was an Austrian football player. He also played in the Austrian national football team.

Career

Ernst Kozlicek began his career in 1949 at SC Wacker Wien. His younger brother Paul Kozlicek later joined this team. He was usually listed as "Kozlicek I," to distinguish him from his brother Paul, who was listed as "Kozlicek II." In 1959, the two Kozlicek brothers moved from the financially troubled SC Wacker Wien to Linzer ASK. Their paths separated in 1962. While Paul Kozlicek remained in Linz, Ernst Kozlicek went to 1. Schwechater SC. He ended his career 1966 after one season with SK Sturm Graz.

International

He played 11 matches for Austria. His first match was in a 1-4 loss versus Hungary on 14 November 1954. His last match was in a 2-2 versus England on 14 November 1954. [1]He played two matches at the1958 FIFA World Cup in Sweden.
