Estavayer-le-Lac

Estavayer-le-Lac [estavaje l(ə) lak][1] (Lua error in Module:Unicode_data at line 468: attempt to index field 'scripts' (a boolean value).[2]) was a municipality of the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It is on the south shore of Lake Neuchâtel and is between Yverdon and Bern. It was the capital of the district of Broye.

History

On 1 January 2012, the former municipality of Font merged into the municipality of Estavayer-le-Lac.[3] On 1 January 2017, the former municipalities of Bussy, Estavayer-le-Lac, Morens, Murist, Rueyres-les-Prés, Vernay and Vuissens merged into the new municipality of Estavayer.[3]
