Estela Rodríguez

Estela Rodríguez Villanueva[a] (November 12, 1967 – April 10, 2022) was a Cuban judoka. She won silver medals at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics.[1] She used the illegal diuretic drug called furosemide at the 1996 Olympics, but was only issued a warning and was allowed to keep her medals.[2] She was born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.

Rodríguez died in Havana, Cuba on April 10, 2022 from cardiac arrest at the age of 54.[3]
