History

Etajima was the site of the Lua error in Module:Unicode_data at line 293: attempt to index local 'data_module' (a boolean value). from 1888 to 1945.^[2]

The present city was created in 2004. It was created by uniting 4 towns: Etajima, Nōmi, Ōgaki, and Okimi.^[3]
