Eyre Coote (East India Company officer)
Eyre Coote was the person who led English forces for the East India Company in the third Carnatic war. Because of his ideas British won against French forces in the Battle of Wandiwash. Later in 1757 he also led his forces in Battle of Plassey and won against Siraj ud daulla who was backed by French forces. This victory gave the British control over the Indian subcontinent.
