Summary
| Description | Built in 1991-1994, this Postmodern-style building was designed by Earl Swensson Associates for the South Central Bell Telephone Company, which later became part of BellSouth, and eventually AT&T. The building stands 33 stories and 617 feet (188 meters) tall, and has been the tallest building in Nashville since its completion. The building consists of a tower with a hexagonal footprint with a podium, including a glass-enclosed atrium, extending to the south, bisecting a plaza at the base of the building. The tower rises towards a sloped roof with two antennas on either end of the building’s roofline, and is clad in stone panels and glass. The building today is known as the AT&T Building. |
