Summary

Description GCR Robinson Class "11F" (LNER Class "D11/1") or "Large Director" 4-4-0 No.506 (LNER No.5506; later No.2660; BR No.62660) "Butler Henderson" in GC lined Brunswick Green livery. On shed at Barrow Hill, 04/12. Probably the finest GCR express loco which out-performed the much larger Robinson 4-6-0's. After Grouping and the absorbtion of the GCR by the LNER, Gresley was so impressed with them he built more for the Scottish part of the LNER.
