Summary

Description
English: Work recently completed on the open warren and at the front of the forest has created around 14 hectares of superb bare sand habitat. This is just one per cent of the whole site, bringing the total area of bare sand at Newborough to four per cent. The work will bring a real boost to biodiversity, helping rare plants and insects such as petalwort, sand wasps, mining bees and rare beetles that are on the brink of extinction in the area.
