  • Der Film läuft gegenüber der Realität mit halber Geschwindigkeit ab, um die Bewegungen der sich putzenden Fliege besser verfolgen zu können. Er wurde mit 30 bps (Bildern pro Sekunde) aufgenommen und mit nur 15 bps kodiert. Um die originale Bewegungsgeschwindigkeit der Fliege zu sehen, kann man bei besserer Abspielsoftware die Geschwindigkeit wieder verdoppeln.
  • Der Film war ursprünglich mit dem Xvid-Codec komprimiert. Aufgrund der patentrechtlich unklaren Situation des Xvid-Codecs wurde der Film ins Format Tremor Xiph übertragen.

  • The film is running at half speed to enable the spectator to better see the movements of the fly cleaning itself. It was filmed at 30fps (frames per second) and was reduced to 15fps. To see the real speed set your player to 2x (most players I know have this double speed function)
  • File was originally xvid video codec. Xvid violates many Mpeg4 patents. The file was changed to Xiph Tremor format which is legal in the US and can be distributed by Linux distributions such as Fedora.
