Flag of Comoros
The flag of Comoros was created in December 2001.
Appearance
It has four horizontal stripes of yellow, white, red, and blue, with a green chevron based on the hoist side charged with a white crescent and four five-pointed stars.
Meaning
The four stripes mean the four islands of Comoros: The yellow stripe is for Mohéli, the white stripe is for Mayotte, the red stripe is for Anjouan, and the blue stripe is for Grande Comore. The four stars on the flag also mean these four islands. The star and crescent symbol stands for Islam, because it is the main religion of Comoros.
