Francis Bacon (artist)
Francis Bacon (28 October 1909 – 28 April 1992) was an Irish-born British painter. He was famous for his disturbing paintings of crucifixions, popes, self-portraits, and portraits of close friends. He was one of the most recognized British painters of the 20th century.
