Fred Patten
Frederick Walter Patten (December 11, 1940 – November 12, 2018) was an American anime writer, novelist, editor and historian. He was born in Los Angeles, California. Patten was known for his work in the science fiction, fantasy,[1] anime, manga, and furry fandoms. His best known novel was Watching Anime, Reading Manga. His best known anime works were Tekkaman: The Space Knight and Doomed Megalopolis.
Patten died on November 12, 2018 in Los Angeles from an aortic aneurysm at the age of 77.[2]
