Gerald D. Hines

Gerald D. Hines (August 15, 1925 – August 23, 2020)[1] was an American real estate developer. He was the founder and chairman of Hines. At the time of his death, the company had assets in 25 countries. He was born in Gary, Indiana.

Hines donated $7 million to the University of Houston’s College of Architecture which renamed the college the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture.

Hines died on August 23, 2020, at his home in Greenwich, Connecticut from prostate cancer at the age of 95.[2]
